Support schools with full or subsidized payments of certification exam fees or the purchase of licenses within Priority Career Sectors in the District of Columbia, as identified in the Career and Technical Education (CTE) Strategic Plan

NSLP Equipment Assistance

Supports purchase of kitchen equipment to improve the quality of school food service meals

Title III ICY

Supports enhanced instructional and supplemental support opportunities for immigrant students and their families

Pre-employment Transition Services (PETS)

Supports students with disabilities preparing for postsecondary education, vocational education, integrated or supported employment, continuing or adult education, adult services, independent living, and community participation

Improving School Climate

Supports schools in efforts to develop and sustain the capacity to improve their climate

Investment in Schools

Supports Comprehensive Support and Improvement Schools, as identified by the OSSE STAR framework

Project AWARE

Supports students and staff at Project AWARE schools in building an evidence-based, culturally responsive, and developmentally appropriate mental health infrastructure design and implementation

Wellness and School Nutrition - Community Schools Incentive Initiative (Continuation Grant)

Supports developing and sustaining community schools

DOE Full-Service Community Schools

Supports the Connected Schools model and wrap-around services to select schools

Supports HIV/AIDS and STD prevention awareness and programs at schools

Supports teacher and school leader recruitment and retention at 43 RISE schools (Comprehensive Support and Improvement Schools)

The funds will be allocated to creating CTE programs for middle schoolers that connect to careers across the district

Breakfast Expansion

Supports schools with the expansion of breakfast related items

HQIM

The purpose of this grant is to provide LEAs with funding for the purchase of HQIM and accompanying professional development to ensure educators can implement the new curricula with fidelity. Grant funds can be used for HQIM in the core academic areas of English language arts (ELA), mathematics, and science for grades K-12

American Rescue Plan Act - Monies allocated to the schools for COVID-19 related items

ARP Homeless I

The purpose of this grant includes activities under ARP-HCY which may include any expenses necessary to facilitate the identification, enrollment, retention, or educational success of homeless children and youth to enable homeless children and youth to attend school and participate fully in school activities.

ARP Homeless II

The purpose of this grant include activities under ARP-HCY which may include any expenses necessary to facilitate the identification, enrollment, retention, or educational success of homeless children and youth to enable homeless children and youth to attend school and particpate fully in school activities

Work Based Learning

Supports high-quality CTE programs of study and Career Academies that align with the district's high-wage, high-deamnd careers

Head Start

Supports the district by perating Head Start programs in designated areas

Supports the school with COVID relief funds

NSF-DRK12

Supports schools by promoting scientific research throughout the district

DC Community School Incentive Initiative (DC CSII)

Funds partnerships that coordinate educational, developmental, family, health, and afterschool-care programs. The objective of the grant is to improve academic achievement and building stronger relationships between schools and communities

Laura Bush Foundation for American Libraries

Provides schools with funding for books, e-books, and magazines for the school's library
